About Me

Hey! I'm Parth Asawa 🙂.

I'm a second-year CS PhD student at UC Berkeley advised by Prof. Matei Zaharia.

Before my PhD, I received my B.S. in EECS & B.S. in Business Administration from the M.E.T. Program at UC Berkeley. During my undergrad, I was fortunate to work with Shreya Shankar and Prof. Aditya Parameswaran.

Research

I work on continual learning, studying how we can enable models and systems to learn from prior experiences and improve over time. Much of my research focuses on data and algorithms for learning efficiency.

Currently, some areas I work on include:

  • Sample-Efficient Parametric Learning from Natural Language
  • Learned Modules for Adapting Black-Box Models
  • Benchmarks for Continual Learning

    I've worked on engineering at some great companies including Rox, Databricks, Robust Intelligence, and Amazon.
